Dr. Steve is a retired licensed psychologist who specialized in clinical psychology and is also a certified-school psychologist. Dr. Steve was the supervising psychologist of Schachner Associates, P.C. for over 30 years. His private group practice, while under the name “Psychological Associates”, was the primary provider of psycho-educational evaluations for the parochial and private schools in Pittsburgh. The practice’s treatment has included teens, adults, couples, and families for anxiety, depression, marital difficulties, family issues, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Dr. Steve has lectured throughout the state on various topics in forensic psychology, testing, and personality assessment. Some of these presentations were part of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s continuing education course offerings, while others were coordinated with various bar associations.
Dr. Steve is planning his retirement and expects to be available to assist in consultation for clinical and forensic matters. Long-term clients may still contact Dr. Steve for brief consultation or for referral sources for additional services.
